DURING THE HALF TERM...

Domi and i decided to change the story line of our film completetely because we were not happy with the first story line and also it was harder to accomplish and get the right equipment needed. We worked through November and December and started editing through january and then decided to re shoot our film in the febuary half term.




FEBUARY HALF TERM;
SATURDAY/SUNDAY- Preperation, Costumes,Props,Scripts sorted.
MONDAY- Outside shot, Late Morning- before roads began to get busy- DAYLIGHT. preperation starts 10:00 am/ filming starts 11:00am.
Tuesday- PREPERATION OF SET 12:00pm/Actor due to arrive- 3:00pm/Filming begins- 4:00pm - 9:00pm.
Wednesday-Friday/ preperation before editing.

FRANKIE AND DOMIS NEW FEATURE FILM

Over the weekend i spent hours on hours analysing different opening titles of feature films. a few opening titles which i watched were, the breakup , hes just not that into you, georgie rule, the hangover, the changelling, clueless, pretty in pink, butterly effect and the movie Thirteen. the movie thirteen we chose to help us create our feature film.


The opening of thirteen opens on a black image with music in the background, the first shot is a close up of a young girl in a bedroom, implying that this is the main girl. very documentary approach with greyish bachground, dull and angry colours, very naturalistic. the girl engages into the camera as if she is staring at someone. the second shot is a wide shot of both of the girls. the main girl having blonde hair and her friend having brown hair. this shows clear example of two oppisites. the third shot is a medium close up on the brown head girl and you see how she is smoking drugs. they use lots of shot reverse shots and the camera moves very fast from girl to girl to follow there body emotions.

Our movie is about a main girl who is struggling with the abuse of alcohol and drugs, how she has lost a lot of friends and respect for the over use of illegal concepts. its a serious teenage drama, engaging with the 16-24 audience. hoping to influence teenagers not to experiment with drugs. through the movie we would have shown the journey of a teenage girl and her problems and how she deals with them and if she turns her life around by the end of the movie.

in the opening two minutes of our feature film we hope to give the audience the impression of a serious drama. In the first shot which is a tilt down moving slowly upwards showing the audience of a cold girl, who looks sad and alone. the close ups are meant to show the trapped emotions and sadness of this girl resting against a wall as if she has no care in the world. The next shots are of a recollection which this girls having of the past and the first time trying drugs. a strong friendship between her and her friend who seem approachable and kind in the flash backs.
